Hi, I’m Eddie Sturm. I was born and raised in a strict Catholic family in Gilzenkirchen, Germany, and I struggled with school and feeling overshadowed by my high-achieving brother. As a teenager, I fell into a rebellious lifestyleβ€”dabbling in drugs, alcohol, and the hippie culture of the early 1970sβ€”which led me to a dark place where suicidal voices haunted me. At 19, on the brink of ending my life, I reached a breaking point. In a split-second moment of crisis, as I was about to jump from my apartment window, the word of God pierced through the chaos. I experienced a divine intervention that silenced those voices and ignited within me a burning hunger to know the truth. I stole a Bible from my mother, began reading it, and discovered the life-changing message of Jesus. That encounter transformed my despair into hope. Today, I have a beautiful family, and I serve in a Christian community where I share my testimony in the hope that others who are struggling will find the same saving grace.
