Summary
SummaryI started sneaking drinks from my dad’s liquor cabinet at 13, and by high school I was drinking at band practices. Music was my life, but alcohol crept into every moment—even on stage. I joined AA at 19, taught guitar, had two kids, and released instrumental CDs, yet the bottle still had its grip. In my 30s, my son invited me to CedarCreek Church. On October 11, 2008, I played guitar for God instead of bars, but I was still drunk inside. Then on January 29, 2019, completely wasted, I texted, ‘I’m a drunk. I need help.’ I woke up sober—with no urge to drink—and I take zero credit. 🙌🍃 Now I walk in faith, sober by His power. 😊🎸
“I felt like such a hypocrite.
If I didn’t do something drastic, it was never going to change.
It jut shows the power that the Lord has.
I couldn’t do it on my own — I take 0 credit for being sober.
If it wasn’t for the Lord I’d still be drinking.”
