Summary
SummaryI grew up attending church, but it felt more cultural than spiritual. I always believed God existed, but I never pursued Him. In college, I started exploring spirituality—researching Islam, Hinduism, Freemasonry, and more. I remember dark, ominous presences during this search. At one point, a stranger walked through a crowd on MTSU campus and handed me a Bhagavad Gita just after I told my cousin I wanted to study other religions.
Though I sensed spiritual things, I saw Christianity as a "white man’s religion." My life spiraled—I was drinking heavily, addicted to pornography, and trying to balance Christianity with my broken lifestyle. I hit rock bottom after a court ticket and cried out to God, admitting I couldn’t do it anymore. In that desperate moment, I saw a bright flash of light and felt God's presence, love, and affection surround me.
That night changed everything. I realized that when I finally called on His name, He was already waiting for me ❤️🔥
Blake shares his journey of researching many religions to find himself calling out to Jesus and being met with love in his brokenness.
