Summary
I grew up in Chandler, Oklahoma, in a modest home where money was tight and the absence of a father left a deep longing for guidance. My hardworking mom and my grandmother, a dedicated educator and servant to underprivileged people, filled that void with love and weekly encouragement. The heartbreaking loss of my grandmother in a car accident was the most traumatic moment of my life, yet her final words challenged me to embrace forgivenessβnot just for myself but for my kids too. Later, when a friend from Hope urged me to consider a mission trip to Nicaragua, my wife and I saw it as Godβs call. I witnessed the profound need for a father figure among children, and that realization now fuels my commitment as I prepare for my third mission trip, excited to see what God has in store for us next.
